What is Depression & Anxiety?

Depression and anxiety often go hand in hand. They are among the most common mental health challenges, affecting your thoughts, emotions and daily functioning. They can create an exhausting cycle where you feel sad and hopeless, then anxious about feeling that way. You may feel guilty for not being able to snap out of it.

What you are experiencing is real, and it’s not your fault. As a depression anxiety therapist, I have helped many people reconnect with themselves and reclaim their peace of mind. Let me support you with the tools and strategies you need to take back control of your thoughts and well-being.

Know More About Depression & Anxiety

Understanding Depression & Anxiety

Depression is more than just a bad day, it’s a mood disorder that brings persistent sadness and a loss of interest in activities. It can affect anyone, regardless of background or circumstances. If you feel weighed down by something that feels heavier than sadness, I’m here to help you make sense of what you are going through and support you in getting back on your feet.

Anxiety, also known as Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD), is a mental health condition characterized by persistent, excessive worry about everyday events. It often feels like being constantly on edge; unable to relax, overthinking the future, dwelling on the past, and being unable to quiet your mind.

My Approach to Depression & Anxiety Treatment

As a certified therapist for depression and anxiety, I understand that no two people experience depression and anxiety exactly the same way. That is why I begin by truly listening to learn about your story, know how long it has been happening, and what your goals are for feeling better.

In treating depression & anxiety, I offer an integrative approach to CBT therapy in LA, combining various treatment modalities such as exposure therapy, and mindfulness-based therapies. When necessary, I may also prescribe medication to help rebalance brain chemistry and reduce symptoms. Together, we will create a personalized treatment plan and lifestyle strategy to support your long-term wellness.
